Wierd Message at Army/Navy Surplus

I just saw this after my purchase of a few non-tactical products on ebay. It was an Army-Surplus shop that I bought some pants from. I wasn't even looking for my normal doom and gloom products.

I get to the welcome page and see this in bold:

In these troubled economic times as we face a possible meltdown of the global financial system, you will feel better knowing that you have gone from unprepared to well-prepared.

I don't want to link to it because I want to show I am not advertising or promoting any ones site. That is damn strange and very eery. Are the fear merchants coming out to play now or what?

is it a place you have shopped before? If so you are happy enough to shop there again. Maybe it is their way of signaling to their customers, trying to make contact.

I would talk to them about it. You might gain some advantage from doing so. Meeting like minded people, contacts with other prepped people. Better deals or even access to gear they cannot have in the shop might be available.

Yup. Fear sells.

Not sure what you mean, but if you are implying illegal or questionable items all I can say is bad idea.

yeah but if SHTF then it is not going to matter. Martial law means the rule of law is suspended and summary judgement is lethal. All officers can issue summary judgement. It would pay to remember that.

Wow this guy is a big time doom and gloomer. He has very specific SHTF items. He is selling pallets of survival kits for families of 4, with gas masks, medical supplies, food storage, and everything. It's just weird because I wasn't even looking for SHTF items and I came across this guy.

The fear merchants are out in force right now. I have seen some guys on youtube directing people to specific tactical sites. You are almost certain that they either own the place or know the guy who does.

One must be on guard when it comes to the fear merchants.

Remain vigilent EVEN OF THEM.

What's the best way to spread carnage to the people you fear the most?

Beware the military generosity when they come bringing blankets to your tribe.

When the masses beg for these things they take what they is offered. Desperation often undermines common sense and historical record.

I here FEMA has some goods for you also. They may even be free when you beg for them.
